The Building Maintenance Department has 15 employees consisting of one supervisor, three senior building crafts and maintenance workers, one heating and cooling specialist, and ten building crafts and maintenance workers II. One of the senior building crafts and maintenance workers, and two of the building crafts maintenance workers are assigned to the Department of Corrections Facility. The remaining staff are responsible for maintaining buildings throughout Madera County including: Chowchilla, Oakhurst, Bass Lake and North Fork facilities.
This division performs those activities that are not covered by other County Departments or as directed by the Board. This could include property management, land acquisition and acting as the County representative for the re-licensing process for electrical generation at Bass Lake by PG&E.
The Madera Energy Watch is a collaboration between Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E, the County of Madera and Richard Heath and Associates, Inc. (RHA). PG&E has contracted with RHA, a third party energy-efficiency implementation specialist, to provide direct installation services for the Madera Energy Watch Program which helps small and medium businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to improve their energy efficiency.
