Chrissy Harrold - Child Support Services

Chrissy Harrold How long have you worked for the County? 17 1/2 years
What do you like most about your job? Making a difference in the lives of the children of Madera County is one of the most satisfying aspects of this job.  I also enjoy the family atmosphere of this department.  Most of the employees have been here for years and we have developed long term relationships.  It is a blessing to be a part of a department that does good for the community and gives me so much pleasure in working with wonderful people.
Why did you decide to work for the County? I wanted a stable job that would help people and the Department of Child Support satisfied both those requirements.
What is your most memorable accomplishment during your County career? I don't have any one thing that stands out, but working in this department and helping children and encouraging parents to play an active role in the lives of their children is very satisfying.
When I'm not at work you can find me...Spending time with my family or occasionally at the casino!
What was your first job? My very first official job was working as a cashier at McDonalds.  At 15 1/2 years old I participated in work experience at the high school, which allowed me to receive credit for working as well as getting paid.
What is your favorite food? Meatloaf and mashed potatoes is my favorite food as long as someone else cooks it!
What is your favorite kind of music? I love all music and can't imagine life without music!  If I had to pick a favorite it would be a tie between country and rock!
What is your favorite sports team? Even though this wasn't the best year for my team, I cheer for the Washington Redskins football team.
If you were to travel anywhere in the world for a dream vacation, where would it be? The list is too long, but I have always wanted to go to Nashville, TN to see the Grand Ole Opry!
Where do you see yourself in five years? Exactly where I am at today!  Having a wonderful time with my family and friends and making a difference in the lives of children.
