2008 - 09 Proposed County Budget
The Administrative Office has completed the 2008-09 Proposed County Budget. The budget document has been filed with the Chief Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. The filing of the proposed budget with the Chief Clerk of the Board allows departments to expend appropriated funds on July 1, 2008; such as for salaries and employee benefits. Until a Final Budget is adopted by the Board of Supervisors, departments are not allowed to hire additional personnel or to buy fixed assets.
The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to begin hearings on the Final Budget on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 and concluding on Friday, August 22, 2008. It is anticipated that the 2008-09 Final Budget will be adopted by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, September 9, 2008.
